特筆すべきヴィンテージの最高の区画からのブドウを木樽で熟成させ、それぞれの良さを最大限に表現しています。
Hors Categorie はツール・ドゥ・フランスにおける「カテゴリー超級」を意味し、最も難度の高い山岳通過 区間のことを指します。
ツール・ドゥ・フランスのパートナーを務めるカステルノーならではのネーミングと言えるでしょう。

The “Hors Catégorie” cuvée represents the highest level within the All Categories concept, crafted from an exceptional diversity of base wines sourced from 750 growers across 900 hectares of vineyards. This extensive palette allows the Cellar Master full creative freedom in selecting and blending wines of remarkable character and distinction.

Produced only from outstanding vintages, the grapes originate from the finest parcels and are vinified and aged in oak barrels to enhance structure, texture, and complexity. Each component is selected to express its individual strengths while contributing to the overall balance and depth of the blend.

The name “Hors Catégorie,” meaning “beyond category,” refers to the most demanding mountain stages of the Tour de France. As an official partner of the Tour de France, Castelnau adopts this term to signify the cuvée’s elevated ambition and level of achievement.

世界中で「高品質なスパークリングワイン」が造られる現在、よりお金を払って敢えてシャンパーニュを飲む理由… カステルノーは「贅沢な時間の流れを堪能する」ことに答えを見出しました。

その歴史は遡ることおおよそ100年前。エペルネの前衛的な生産者たちはフランスの第一次世界大戦の将軍であるキュリエール・ド・カステルノー将軍に敬意を表して、新しいシャンパーニュブランドの立ち上げに着手しました。

1916年の創業後、2003年にCRVC(ランス・シャンパーニュ協同組合)の所有／直営となり、現在では750軒を超える加盟農家を抱え、150以上のクリュに広がる900haの葡萄畑を有しています。その CRVC の現在のトップ・ブランドがカステルノーであり、そこにはテロワールに関する深い知識と情熱あふれるブドウ栽培者たちが多く存在し、唯一無二のカステルノーの品質を支えています。

2013年からシェフ・ド・カーヴ（醸造最高責任者）を務めたエリザベート・サルスレは一般的な大手資本のメゾンの常識からは大きく一線を画し、スタンダード・キュヴェで最低6年、ミレジムに 至っては10年超という長期瓶内熟成を経てリリースします。実験的なキュヴェも多く企画され、他の大手メゾンとは全く異なる「ゆったりとした時間軸」の中で新たな可能性を追求し続けており、彼女の才能は広く認められ、The Drinks Businessの“The Master Winemakers of the World 100”のうち、たった10人しかいない女性ワインメーカーの一人に選ばれました。なお、2021年からはサルスレと共に長年働いてきた、カリーヌ・バイユルに最高醸造責任者のバトンが渡り、新たなスタートをきっています。

Founded in 1916 in tribute to World War I hero General de Castelnau, this independent-minded house has always valued craftsmanship over convention. Since becoming part of the CRVC cooperative in 2003, it has drawn on the expertise of more than 750 passionate growers across 150 crus, representing 900 hectares of vineyards.

Guided first by the visionary winemaker Elisabeth Sarcelet—recognized as one of The Drinks Business “Master Winemakers of the World”—and today by Carine Bailleul, Castelnau has redefined Champagne tradition. Standard cuvées rest at least six years, vintages for a decade or more, and experimental cuvées continually push boundaries.
